LETTER OF AGREEMENT
between
NORTHWEST AIRLINES, INC.
and
FLIGHT ATTENDANTS
in the service of
NORTHWEST AIRLINES, INC.
As represented by
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS
THIS AGREEMENT is entered into by and between Northwest Airlines, Inc., a Minnesota
Corporation (the "Employer"), and the Flight Attendants in the service of Northwest
Airlines, Inc., as represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (the
"Union").
THIS AGREEMENT is intended to define the scope and duties of Interpreters traveling on
domestic routes.
The Company may assign one (1) Interpreter on narrow body aircraft and two (2)
interpreters on wide body aircraft for the domestic portion of a continuing international
flight under the following parameters:
1. The Interpreter shall work under the direction of the Purser/Lead Flight Attendant.
2. Duties shall be limited to making foreign language announcements and assisting
the Purser/Lead Flight Attendant with individual customers.
3. The Interpreter shall not occupy a jumpseat on such flights.
